Fiziks M3B MTB shoes are designed for competition. Theyre stiff and light, with enough tread for running, and an upper that works well in all conditions. This shoe is perfect for cyclocross, cross-country, and even enduro and all mountain riding, provided youre not stuck on extended hike-a-bike segments. As this is a racing shoe, Fizik started by building the sole out of carbon-fiber. Its stiff for efficient power transfer to the pedals. The sole has a rubber outsole that is good enough for moving on foot over short stretches and well-spaced enough that it wont clog easily. the toe has threaded inserts for spikes, which must be sourced separately. The two-bolt cleat plate has two sets of threads for ideal fitment. The upper is also for racing. They start with their Microtex synthetic leather, and armor it in places with an Anti-Scratch covering. That which isnt covered has micro perforations for breathability. The closure is via Boas IP1-A lacing system. They offset the closure to better wrap around your foot. This means more material caressing your feet, thus reducing hot spots and improving fit. A size 42.5 of the Fizik M3B MTB shoes tickles the scale at 356g.
